REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

submission guidelines

We call for both contributed papers and proposals for symposia. The program structure is available on this page, or by clicking on 'PROGRAM' in the left menu.

Please prepare your proposals according to the submission guidelines below. Both contributed papers and contributed symposia should be submitted using the online form (after having registered -- payment is not necessary at this stage).

Contributed papers

Please submit both a short (max. 100 words) and extended abstract (max. 1000 words), together in a single document in .doc, .rtf, .txt or .pdf format.

Abstracts shall start with the number and title of the relevant section, the title of the proposed paper, and the author's name and address -- the whole header being centered in the middle. Example available in this file.

Accepted contributed papers will be allocated 30 minutes, including discussion.

Symposia proposals

Please submit both a short (max. 100 words) description of your proposal and an extended symposium proposal, together in a single document in .doc, .rtf, .txt or .pdf format. The extended symposium proposal should include:

Proposals shall start with the number(s) and title(s) of the relevant section(s), the title of the proposed symposium, and the organizer's name and address -- the whole header being centered in the middle. Example available in this file.

There will be short symposia of 90 min (with normally 3-4 speakers) and long symposia of 150 min (with normally 5-6 speakers), both including discussion.

Rules for multiple presentations

affiliated meetings

On repeated requests, we offer the possibility of affiliated symposia running parallel to the LMPS programme. Unlike special symposia (with invited speakers) and contributed symposia (as described above), they do not belong to the official programme of the congress. However, they will be announced on the conference webpages, and the congress organizers will arrange for appropriate facilities (rooms etc.). Affiliated symposia must meet the following conditions:

The programme must be approved by the GPC.

Each participant (speaker or not) of the affiliated symposium must be a registered participant of the LMPS congress.

The symposium is open to all participants of the LMPS congress.

The length of an affiliated symposium should not exceed one full day or two half-days.

Proposals for affiliated symposia should be sent by e-mail directly to the GPC chair, Peter Schroeder-Heister, using the following e-mail-address: . They should include the names and e-mail addresses of the organizer(s) and the speakers of the symposium with links to their homepages, a description of the aim and scope of the symposium as well as short abstracts of the planned talks. The deadline for proposals is 31 January 2011.

Once the affiliated symposium is accepted, its organizer(s) should set up a symposium homepage with all relevant information, to which the CLMPS organizers would install a link from the congress webpage.
